My guest on the podcast this week is Cody Renard Richard. Cody is an advocate, educator, producer, and professional Stage Manager with a career that spans many genres including Broadway, Television, Cirque Du Soleil and Opera. He holds a BFA in Stage Management from Webster Conservatory and he has worked as a Stage Manager on Broadway for 14 productions and is currently a co-producer of the historic new production Thoughts of A Colored Man.
In our wide-ranging conversation Cody and I chat about his career on Broadway, how he came to know and embrace his authentic self, and both the power of art to change how we see the world and each other. We also chat about his childhood growing up on a ranch outside of Houston, Texas, competing in rodeo events, and his new journey as an educator helping to groom the next generation of artists and production professionals.
